What Eloread reads and keeps.
[Draft in plain words. The binding privacy policy, the data controller's details and the legal bases still need a lawyer's review before launch.]
On your PC
- On the versus screen, Eloread captures the game window, crops the area with the opponent's name and reads it with text recognition that runs on your PC.
- The picture stays in memory. It is never uploaded and never saved to disk.
- Eloread never reads game memory or game files, never injects code into the game, never reads network traffic and can't see your inputs or replays.
- Settings and logs stay in your Windows user folder.
What goes to our server
- The opponent's name as text, to look up their public stats.
- A random device ID, so the Free daily limits work without an account.
- If you sign in with Steam: your Steam ID (Steam confirms it; we never see your password), the Brawlhalla account linked to it, your match history, your notes on players and your plan.
Where the stats come from
Ranks, Elo and match stats come from the official Brawlhalla public stats API, through our server. We keep snapshots of those public numbers to show your Elo history and to work out match results.
Payments
Paddle, our merchant of record, handles checkout, cards, VAT and refunds. We get your subscription status, never your card details. Paddle's checkout script loads only on the checkout page; the rest of this site loads nothing from other companies.
AI recaps
For Pro recaps our server sends the match's numbers (never screenshots) to Anthropic (Claude), and shows what comes back only after checking it against the numbers.
